Global Industries Wins Safety Award

April 21, 2009

Global Industries was awarded the 2009 National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) Safety-in-Seas Award on April 16, recognizing their contribution to the safety of life offshore for energy workers.

Global Industries was selected by a panel of judges from the U.S. Coast Guard, the Minerals Management Service and the National Academy of Science's Marine Board. NOIA President Tom Fry said, "Global Industries demonstrated that safety is priority number one, whether in their Plug & Abandonment (P&A) work on decommissioned wellheads or on hurricane recovery projects. Their safety record is an exemplary achievement, successfully integrating safety and training together across a large organization. We applaud the fact that the Coast Guard, the MMS and the National Academy of Sciences continue to recognize our industry's achievement and we congratulate Global Industries for their valuable contribution to the enhancement of offshore safety and responsible environmental stewardship."
