Avon Inflatables to Promote U.K. Marine Industry

June 30, 2003

Avon Inflatables, a U.K. RIB manufacturer, will be representing the UK Marine Industry on a combined outward Trade Mission to Australia and New Zealand this August. The event, organized by Trade Partnerships U.K. in association with the British Marine Federation, will see a number of U.K. marine companies visiting the two countries with the aim of raising the profile of the U.K. industry. During the mission, the group will be attending The Sydney Boat Show, which, with an attendance of over 76,000, has established itself as one of the most prestigious events in Australia. Alan Morgan, Managing Director of Avon Inflatables, said "I am delighted to have been invited to join this important Trade Mission. The Sydney Boat Show is a gateway to the Asia-Pacific market, which makes this a wonderful opportunity to show the rest of the world what the British Marine Industry is made of." The South Wales-based company, who have been building hand-made inflatables for over 40 years, will also be attempting to make a mark on the New Zealand market, which has grown significantly since the success of the America's Cup there a few years ago.
