Halyard Expands Noise Insulation Product Range

Halyard, global manufacturer of marine exhaust solutions, has extended its range of noise insulation products with the introduction of Rockwool Marine Firebatt 2000.

Aimed at the commercial marine sector, the multipurpose Marine Firebatt 2000 is a rock mineral wool slab, providing fire protection, thermal insulation and significant noise reduction to marine craft and offshore installations.

Marine Firebatt 2000 has been designed to meet stringent requirements for fire protection and insulation on commercial vessels. It is rated noncombustible in accordance with IMO A799 and is Lloyd’s Register of Shipping and MED (Marine Equipment Directive) certified, providing A30 and A60 fire protection to steel decks and bulkheads.

Heavy duty, lightweight and fire zero-rated, Marine Firebatt 2000 is easy to handle and install. It features water repellent properties and is supplied with a tough fibre-glass cloth with a sealed, metalized skin that can’t absorb oil and won’t tear or fray. Once fitted, Marine Firebatt 2000 requires little or no maintenance and will give effective protection for the lifetime of the structure or associated attachments.
