Alion Awarded GSA Alliant IT Integration Contract

August 1, 2007

Alion Science and Technology, an employee-owned technology solutions company, has been awarded the GSA’s Alliant contract, a government-wide acquisition contract (GWAC) to provide IT integration services to the federal government. The 10-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract (five year base with one five year option) has a maximum value of $50 Billion. Alion was one of 29 prime contractors given awards out of a total 66 bidders.

Alliant gives civilian and defense agencies access to the latest, most effective technologies and solutions. One of the drivers for the contract was the need for compliance with emerging policies and initiatives from the Office of Management and Budget as well as the Federal Enterprise Architecture and the Federal Information Security Management Act.
