The International Seminar on Tanker Safety, Pollution Prevention, Spill Response and Compensation, co-hosted by ITOPF, OCIMF and INTERTANKO, has proven to be very popular. Close to three hundred delegates have indicated their participation in a seminar that will include presentations and updates on OCIMF, SIRE and Charterers' View of Classification Society Progress, as well as Voluntary Improvements for Quality Shipping, Information Sharing, the Threat of Piracy and Recent Developments in the International Compensation System. The Seminar, which takes place on Wednesday 6 November at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong, will also include a hypothetical oil spill scenario where a panel of government and industry experts explore the concerns, expectations and actions of key players involved in a major casualty. The aim of the scenario will be to stimulate the audience to engage in a lively debate with the panel. Source: INTERTANKO
