ECDIS Launch Sperry Marine Course

ECDIS Ltd. have taken delivery of three new VisionMaster FT ECDIS, which have been installed in their e-Navigation Center. The ECDIS systems are made by Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine and will mean ECDIS Ltd are now able to offer Nautical Institute accredited Type Specific ECDIS Training on nine different systems.


Joe Sloly, Customer Development Manager of ECDIS Ltd said, “The VisionMaster ECDIS has been in high demand for training requests over the last year so I am proud to say we can now offer the highest of standards training on the ECDIS equipment. By including the Sperry Marine ECDIS in our facility it allows are instructors to learn yet another system which can be discussed on our Generic ECDIS courses. The Type Specific Course has been included in our accreditation by the Nautical Institute”


John Ritchie, ECDIS Course Manager, added, “With every new system we add, we spend quite considerable time assessing the strengths and weaknesses of each so we can give students an objective view of each manufacturer’s products. This also means that when we deliver a course, our instructors are extremely well versed in the operation of the system concerned. We have ensured that the Sperry Marine Vision Master maintains our high standards of Type Specific courses that we have been delivering for years.”
