BIMCO Launches Online Version of LOF 2000

BIMCO has launched the first editable online version of Lloyds Open Form (LOF) 2000 as part of a new suite of offshore forms available for users
of BIMCO's idea (Internet Document Editing Application). In addition to LOF 2000, BIMCO's idea also offers three ISU/BIMCO Wreck Removal
Agreements - WRECKHIRE 99; WRECKSTAGE 99; and WRECKFIXED 99 as well as the widely used SUPPLYTIME 89. These documents will be supplemented by the ISU's SALVHIRE later this month.
Despite only being added to idea a few weeks ago, the electronic version
of LOF 2000 has already been used by a number of companies. Of
particular appeal to users is the ability to complete the form on a
computer screen using a specially customized online version of Microsoft
Word and then send the result by conventional e-mail. The form can be
accessed from any computer with an internet connection - making it an
extremely versatile and portable method of editing and exchanging
contracts.
