The New EPIC Service Launching in May

The first sailing of the restructured EPIC Service of Hamburg Süd and Hapag-Lloyd - linking North Europe with the Mediterranean region, the Middle East, and – will take place in the second week of May. With this service, the partners are offering, among other things, the only direct service from Europe to and the shortest connection to the industrial zones around the seaport.
The two lines will be deploying six 4,200 TEU vessels in this service, with Hapag-Lloyd providing four units and Hamburg Süd two.  The new EPIC Service will have the following port rotation: - Tilbury - - Gioia Tauro - Jebel Ali - - Mundra - Nhava Sheva - Gioia Tauro - .
All key ports of the western and eastern Mediterranean will be linked with the Middle East, and via the central hub, Gioia Tauro. The acquisition of Costa Container Lines (CCL) at the end of last year will be particularly helpful in this venture. CCL has significantly enhanced Hamburg Süd's presence in the Mediterranean region.
