Conrad Shipyard Delivers First of Six Liftboats

Morgan City, Louisiana Conrad Industries, Inc. announced that Offshore Marine Contractors, Inc. took delivery of the first of six liftboats under construction at Conrad Shipyards. It was a beautiful spring day in South Louisiana as Avis Bourg III along with his wife Tiffany and their daughter Lacie, the namesake, christened the 175’ Class liftboat, “Lacie Bourg”. Toby Eymard stated “We are very excited about putting this vessel into service and look forward to getting the next five vessels. Conrad did an excellent job building this boat and we’re very proud to add this to our fleet of liftboats.” Johnny Conrad, President and CEO of Conrad commented "We are pleased that Offshore Marine Contractors has once again chosen Conrad to participate in its fleet expansion and are proud to be a part of the team as a quality builder of liftboats.” Conrad Industries, Inc., established in 1948 and headquartered in Morgan City, Louisiana, designs, builds and overhauls tugboats, ferries, liftboats, barges, offshore supply vessels and other steel and aluminum products for both the commercial and government markets. The company provides both repair and new construction services at its four shipyards located in southern Louisiana and Texas.
