MacGregor Wins RoRo Cargo Access Equipment Order

September 18, 2014

MacGregor has won an order from Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) in South Korea for the design and delivery of MacGregor RoRo cargo access equipment. It is destined for a 180-meter logistics and support vessel (LSV) under construction at the yard for the Royal Norwegian Navy's Norwegian Defense Logistics Organization (NDLO). The vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2016. The order was booked into the second quarter 2014 order intake.

"MacGregor's long-standing presence in South Korea and its relationship with DSME proved positive in securing the order," said Karl-Axel Persson, Sales Manager, RoRo Systems. "This was in addition to our extensive experience of deliveries to the naval sector."

MacGregor's scope of supply includes a side ramp/door, a hoistable inner ramp, two lifting platforms for cargo (forward and aft) and trunk doors. It will also include installation assistance.
