MacGregor Appoints New President for U.S. Operation

The MacGregor Group has appointed Jack Finnegan as country manager/ president of MacGregor U.S.A., Inc. He took up his position at the beginning of August, and is based at the company’s New Jersey office. Finnegan succeeds John Albino, who will remain on MacGregor Inc.’s board of directors. Previously an executive in the new business development group of Drew Marine, a division of Ashland Specialty Chemical, Finnegan’s experience also includes time at Newport News Shipbuilding in global marketing and ship repair. He graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, with a B.S. in marine engineering, and has been active in the global marine industry for more than 30 years. He is a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, the Port Engineers of New York, and the Connecticut Maritime Association. As the new president for MacGregor’s U.S. operations, Finnegan will be responsible for commercial and military U.S. business, including RoRo shipboard and shore systems, hatch covers, cargo securing solutions, cranes and their service.
