Transas Supplies Vessel Traffic Management in Johor

Transas Marine Pacific together with its local partner Global Teamwork Sdn Bhd has been awarded  a contract to supply and install a Vessel Traffic Management System for Pengerang Oil Terminal in Johor by Dialog Pengerang Sdn Bhd.


The Vessel Traffic Management solution will allow for the Pengerang Oil Terminal compliance with the ISPS requirements. Based on the Transas Navi-Harbour VTS software package, the system includes integrated network of marine sensors such as Radar, AIS, CCTV cameras and hydro-meteorological sensors which will provide a real-time navigational picture to VTS operators.

The Vessel Traffic Management System will improve safety and efficiency in the Port of Pengerang and contribute to environmental protection.


The Pengerang Oil Terminal will be one of the first Independent LNG Trading Terminals in Asia, which will allow multiple LNG users to store and trade the product to spur the growth in this area to establish Malaysia as the LNG Trading hub of Asia.
