Imtech Marine/Radio Holland Renew DNV GL Approval

April 30, 2015

Imtech Marine was awarded the three-year DNV GL global certification renewal in February 2015. It concerns Inspection and Testing of Radio Communication equipment, Automatic Identification Systems and testing and inspection of Voyage Data Recorders (VDR).
Radio Holland, Imtech Marine’s NavCom and Maintenance brand, started the already long-standing relationship with both DNV and GL, which continued when Radio Holland became part of Imtech Marine. Imtech Marine has a global network of almost 100 offices along the shipping routes and employs some 200 qualified radio surveyors worldwide, typically carrying out 14,500 surveys a year.

Peter Kalisvaart, Imtech Marine Global Process Manager Surveys, commented, “DNV GL has very stringent requirements, we were preparing for several months for the renewal to make sure all our procedures were correctly in place. Our surveyors work to thorough and rigorous standards in line with the expectations of DNV GL. Achieving this global certification for us is a quality label for our survey work. We cooperate with owners and managers to plan surveys in line with the vessel’s operational schedules, ensuring highest cost efficiency.”
