Maritime Security Venture

February 27, 2009

Unitel, international corporate security consultant since 1978, announced that over 2-years of intensive planning has been completed to launch a maritime security service aimed at protecting deep-sea merchant ships and oil platform facilities against acts of piracy, maritime banditry and acts of terrorism.

Security services will be provided by armed escort patrol vessels, with experienced former combat military crews that will render close escort pursuant to contract for the entire length of a particular voyage or provide close security for off-shore oil rig/platform facilities in the world’s dangerous locations.

The Commander of the U.S. Fifth Fleet Naval Force has consistently urged merchant ships to hire private security to protect their interests and our protection will be the most cost-effective blanket of security available.
