MGI International, a computer-based-training (CBT) technology provider serving the maritime industry, has expanded its international reach into Thailand. Thai Maritime School joins leading maritime educational facilities in the United States using MGI's curriculum and courseware. MGI president Robert Muller announced that the North Vancouver-based firm has signed an on-going agreement to deliver a certified basic safety training curriculum to the Thai Maritime School. MGI will provide educational software, manuals, trainer instruction, technical support and a data-management system. "Our blended-learning technology is the most cost-effective way for maritime centers like the Thai Maritime School to meet the growing training requirements of the cruise and shipping industry," said Muller. "Our multi-media, self-paced learning approach, combined with hands-on training and automated record keeping, is without equal."
