Shipbuilders HII Donate to Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund

Huntington Ingalls Industries donates $50,000 to the American Red Cross. The shipbuilders' donation is to the American Red Cross' Disaster Relief Fund to be used to provide food, shelter, supplies and comfort to the people affected by Hurricane Sandy. "With most of our operations along coastal waters, we truly understand the human suffering, loss of life and damage to property caused by Mother Nature," said Bill Ermatinger, HII's corporate vice president and chief human resources officer. HII is also working with the American Red Cross to establish a "microsite" for employees to donate directly. "Donations will go toward providing much-needed food, shelter and supplies to people who have lost everything," Ermatinger said.
