Rolls-Royce Open Apprentice Academy

The new facility at the Derby Learning & Development Centre in UK will double the number of Rolls-Royce apprentices under training. The additional apprentices will find work in the supply chain, providing an additional source of skilled labour to the UK engineering and manufacturing industry. The facility, which spans three floors, includes a 1,200 square metre workshop area featuring the latest machines, which enables apprentices to be trained on the same equipment they will be using in the workplace. Finning Recruiting Marine Apprentices

To mark this year’s National Apprentice Week (6 – 10 February 2012), Finning Power Systems (Finning), the UK’s sole supplier of Caterpillar marine engines, is announcing that places are now available for its next intake of marine apprentices. The company is seeking young, enthusiastic talent to join its long-established marine apprenticeship scheme; a scheme that has been offering young people in the UK the opportunity to develop their engineering skills since the early 1960s.
