Hamburg Süd christened the Cap Jackson in Manzanillo (Mexico) as part of a customer event. She is the first of two identical container ships, both of which have a slot capacity of 4,600 TEU. Sponsor of the Cap Jackson was Tatiana Ramirez Oetker. With the naming ceremony Hamburg Süd staged a premiere in Mexico, it being the first time the country had witnessed the christening of a container ship. Since her delivery in late May 2010 at the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd.
