Maersk's APM Terminals has pledged a €962 million (US$1 billion) investment in its Brazilian operations up to 2026.This figure includes a €296 million of a total €483 million investment exclusively for the Phase One development of a new terminal in Suape. Danish offshore vessel owner, Maersk Supply Service has won a contract with Shell in Brazil for the mooring line remediation of the FPSO Fluminense, located off the coast of Rio de Janeiro.The scope of the project includes remediation work on two of the Fluminense FPSO's mooring lines."With the onshore engineering already well underway, offshore operations are due to run for three weeks from late August 2022," Maersk Supply Service said. The offshore work will use up to three of Maersk Supply Service’s anchor handling vessels to hold the FPSO on station and perform subsea operations.

Norwegian offshore vessel owners Solstad Offshore, Siem Offshore, and Standard Supply have all secured offshore vessel contracts in the past few days.Solstad Offshore on Monday said it had secured a contract for the platform supply vessel Normand Swan in Australia. Solstad Offshore said the contract was for two years and with "a major energy company."The client will have additional extension options. The contract will start in September 2022. No financial details were shared.The Normand Swan is an 89-meter-long vessel built to Ulstein's PX 105 design back in 2014.

Brazilian oil company Petrobras has awarded service contracts to DOF's Brazilian subsidiaries to Norskan Offshore Ltda. and DOF Subsea Serviços Brasil Ltda.The contracts are for the Skandi Iguazu AHTS vessel including ROV. The contracts will start in the fourth quarter of 2022 and will have a duration of three years. Petrobras will have options to extend the contracts for two more years. The total contract value for the firm period is about 70 million.

Oslo-listed offshore vessel operator DOF has, through its Brazilian subsidiaries, won new long-term charter and service contracts with Petrobras for four AHTS vessels and ROVs. The vessels, Skandi Angra, Skandi Paraty, Skandi Urca, and Skandi Fluminense, (AHTS 18000 class), currently operating for Petrobras and equipped with DOF Subsea's work class ROVs, have been contracted for 3 years firm + 2 years options with Petrobras. The gross value of the contracts is around $260 million and with a planned start-up in the fourth quarter of 2022. The contracts have been awarded to DOF's subsidiaries Norskan Offshore Ltda. and DOF Subsea Serviços Brasil Ltda.

Norwegian offshore support vessel owner Siem Offshore said Monday a Brazilian court had ruled in favor of Petrobras in a case related to a late vessel delivery in 2015."Siem Offshore do Brasil has been notified of the final unfavorable decision of a Brazilian court in a lawsuit filed against Petrobras. The case is related to late delivery of the vessel Siem Maragogi from yard back in 2015," the company said."A late delivery penalty charge was imposed by Petrobras on Siem Offshore do Brasil. The Guanabara FPSO has arrived at the Mero field in the Santos Basin, offshore Brazil, the Brazilian state-run oil company Petrobras has informed.The FPSO, also known as Mero 1, will be the first 'definitive' oil production system at the Mero field, the third largest pre-salt field behind Búzios and Tupi. MODEC is responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, mobilization, installation and operation of the FPSO, including topsides processing equipment as well as hull and marine systems.

Dutch floating oil and gas production firm SBM Offshore has secured a $620 million bridge loan facility for the financing of the construction of FPSO Alexandre de Gusmão, to be deployed in Brazil for Petrobras.The FPSO Alexandre de Gusmão will be deployed at the Mero field in the Santos Basin offshore Brazil. Mero is a project under Libra Consortium responsibility, in which Petrobras is the operator with 40 percent and with the following partners: Shell Brasil with 20 percent, TotalEnergies with 20 percent, CNODC and CNOOC Limited with 10 percent each, together with Pré-sal Petróleo S.A.
