DOF Secures Three Service Contracts with Petrobras Worth Over $260M

Norwegian offshore support vessel firm DOF said Monday it had won three new service contracts with the Brazilian oil firm Petrobras."The contracts were originated by a competitive bid process won by DOF and include work within our core service lines for Survey and Inspection," DOF said.These contracts represent a continuation of the services handled by DOF on the PIDF123 contracts signed with Petrobras in 2020 and under operation since December of that year.According to DOF, at least three vessels will be deployed to perform flexible pipeline, risers, and subsea equipment inspection in Campos Basin, Santos Basin, and Espírito Santos Basin. More than 3,200 inspections are expected to be executed.DOF did not say which vessel exactly would be deployed for these projects.

MODEC to Deliver Highly Complex FPSO for Equinor's $9B Project Offshore Brazil

Naming Ceremony Held for Yinson's Anna Nery FPSO

Malaysian FPSO provider Yinson, with its project partner Sumitomo Corporation named the new FPSO Anna Nery, during a naming ceremony held concurrently in Jiangsu, China and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The FPSO Anna Nery is currently undergoing final conversion works and is going to set sail for Brazil in the third quarter, where it will be deployed at the Marlim Field located in the eastern part of the Campos Basin, about 150km offshore Rio de Janeiro.The FPSO will be stopping for a few days in Singapore and Mauritius for crew change and fresh supplies.

Kongsberg to Provide Electrical and Control Equipment for Yinson FPSO

Malaysian FPSO leasing company Yinson has ordered a suite of electrical and control equipment from Kongsberg Maritime for an FPSO vessel currently under conversion. Kongsberg Maritime will deliver E-house, electrical, control, safeguarding and telecommunication equipment solutions, and the deal also includes service support on board the Maria Quitéria FPSO owned by Yinson. FPSO Maria Quitéria is expected to start work in 2024 at the Jubarte field, part of the Parque de Baleias area in the North Campos Basin, Espirito Santo State, offshore Brazil, for the Brazilian oil company Petrobras.

Malaysian FPSO supplier Yinson has won a contract with Brazil's Petrobras for the delivery of an FPSO for the deployment at the Parque das Baleias Integrated Project, to be installed in the Jubarte Field, located in the north of Campos Basin, offshore Brazil.Petrobras has signed contracts with Yinson's subsidiaries for the chartering and provision of services of the Maria Quitéria FPSO for the project. Petrobras Output in Campos Drops to Lowest Level in 17 Years

Oil production by Brazilian state-led Petroleo Brasileiro SA in the Campos basin fell 1.4 percent in June over the previous month to 1.042 million barrels a day, its lowest level since 2001, as mature fields decline, according to company data.Output has dropped 15.8 percent in 12 months due to the ageing of fields off-shore from Rio de Janeiro and Espirito Santo that account for almost half of the crude pumped by Petrobras.

Statoil Acquires 25% Stake in Brazil's Roncador

Statoil ASA and Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) have agreed that Statoil will acquire a 25 percent interest in Roncador, a large oil field in the Campos Basin in Brazil. The transaction nearly triples Statoil’s production in Brazil, with attractive break-evens and potential for additional value creation for both parties through the application of Statoil’s expertise in improved oil recovery (IOR). The total consideration comprises an initial payment of $2.35 billion, plus additional contingent payments of up to $550 million. “This transaction adds material and attractive long-term production to our international portfolio, further strengthening the position of Brazil as a core area for Statoil.

Aker Solutions Signs Agreement with Petrobras

Norwegian oilfield services company Aker Solutions has won a contract to provide maintenance and modifications services for three platforms at Petrobras-operated oil and gas fields offshore Brazil. The four-year contract is valued at about NOK 800 million ($101.5 million) and includes an option for a one-year extension. The order covers a range of services to renovate, repair and upgrade the floating production storage and offloading platforms, or FPSOs, at the Barracuda, Caratinga and Albacora Leste fields in the Campos Basin. It also entails management at the yard where replacement parts and other equipment will be fabricated. "Brazil is an important global market and growth area for servicing oil and gas fields," said Aker Solutions Chief Executive Officer Luis Araujo.
