Clarkson Sweden AB say they will focus on servicing the many ferry, ro-ro and specialised product tanker owners in the Swedish, Finnish and Baltic regions. Specialising in Sale and Purchase and Newbuilding contracting,  the office will be staffed by established sector experts, Torbjorn Helmfrid and Per Drape, who until recently worked at Aquamarine Shipping Consultants.

Clarksons' Sale and Purchase broker, Ed Devenport recently competed sucessfully in the Ironman UK 2013 contest.  This arduous event was held in Bolton on Sunday 4 August and comprises a 2.4 mile (3.8km) swim, 112 mile (180km) bike ride and 26.2 mile marathon run - which Ed completed in an incredible 12 hours, 41 minutes and 49 seconds, finishing 547th out of a total of 1602 contestants. Quoting the wording on his victor's medal "anything is possible", Ed said that the event was an amazing experience and raised close to £1700 for his chosen charity, Scope.
