Cummins QSK60 HPI Aux Engine Tier II Cert.

Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) has received a statement of compliance from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) certifying the QSK60 HPI auxiliary engine to IMO Tier II emissions standards. The 60-liter, V-16 cylinder engine joins a full line-up of IMO Tier II compliant propulsion and auxiliary engines from 78 – 1925 kW (104 – 2547 HP) available from Cummins. The QSK60 features the proven Cummins High Pressure Injection (HPI) electronic fuel system and the same lubrication, cooling, air handling and exhaust systems as the IMO Tier I product. Further, the engine shares similar hardware with its predecessor including engine mounts, vessel connections and optional equipment, simplifying vessel installation and repowers.
