Shiptec China 2014 Taking Shape

In just under seven months’ time, marine professionals from China and around the world will gather for the opening of Shiptec China 2014 at the Dalian World Expo Center. Taking place October 21-24, it is the 11th holding of this increasingly important event, and the organizers have now confirmed many aspects of the forthcoming event. With its leading role now well established thanks to the involvement of the Chinese government, Shiptec China 2014 has grown to be one of the most important platforms in China for the world maritime industry, especially for those who wish to consolidate business relationships and penetrate the local market.

Lee Recognized with Royal Danish Award

The Danish Export Association’s Diploma, and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honor, was awarded to VIKING Life-Saving Equipment’s Korean representative, J.W. Lee, for close to thirty years’ of successful business partnership. The recipient of the Danish Export Association’s Diploma, and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honor is J.W. Lee, a successful Korean businessman who, over many years, has built a successful agency business based around the products of VIKING Lifesaving Equipment, the Esbjerg-based global company in marine and fire safety equipment.

Planning Starts on Shiptec China Mega-Expo

This increasingly important event takes place between the 21 and 24 October, 2014 at the Dalian World Expo Center.. SMM 2000 Set For Hamburg

Reporting this year's SMM 2000 Shipbuilding, Machinery & Marine Technology Exhibition as "booked out," Hamburg Messe is dubbing the exhibition as one that is multi-cultural and lingual - the bi-annual conference is predicted to attract more than 1,000 from 42 countries. Designating Spain as this year's partner country, the exhibition, which has been dubbed the leading trade fair of world shipbuilding, SMM 2000, will take place at Hamburg Exhibition Centre from September 26-30, 2000. Holding a place as the main international forum for executives in the shipping and shipbuilding sector for many years, SMM has further consolidated its top position with its "Hall of Nations" strategy involving grouping national pavilions under one roof, which was implemented for the first time at SMM `98.

Denmark Lends $40m for Vinashin Shipbuilding Equipment

Danish Export Credit Foundation Wednesday clinched a $40m credit agreement with the Vietnamese state-run shipbuilding firm Vinashin to cover advanced facilities purchases. The agreement comes as part of comprehensive strategic cooperation between Danish Marine Group and Vinashin, expected to be expanded in the coming time. According to the foundation, Vietnam is a high potential marine equipment and technology importer for Danish suppliers, with plenty of room to develop into one of leading shipbuilding countries in the world.
