NMEA Accepts Resignation of President David Hayden

David Hayden, president and executive director of the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) since 2007, submitted his resignation to the organization’s board of directors at the conclusion of the NMEA’s International Marine Electronics Conference & Expo last week in Fort Myers, Florida. In a statement to NMEA Board Chairman David Gratton and Vice Chairman Johnny Lindstrom, who accepted his resignation, Hayden said, “I wish to thank the board for the opportunity to serve, and I believe that the timing is right for me to move on.

NMEA Board of Directors Changes

The National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) has announced changes in the NMEA Board of Directors. David Gratton, a dealer director and a partner in Martek of Palm Beach, Fla., has been appointed to the position of Vice Chairman of the NMEA. He replaces Jim Vander Hey, who is leaving the position to pursue a business venture outside of the marine electronics industry. "Jim has been a very active member of the NMEA and has made a number of major contributions to the NMEA.
