Incat Crowther and Richardson Devine Marine launched and trialed the 23m Catamaran Luminosa on Tasmania’s Derwent River in mid August. The vesel is set to join a fleet operated by Real Journeys, in New Zealand’s southern wilderness region. Luminosa will operate from Te Anau to the Glowworm Caves, a journey of approximately 25 minutes at 25 knots. The vessel features a main deck with 95 seats inside a spacious open plan cabin, incorporating a kiosk, as well as toilet facilities. There are two main boarding positions, port and starboard, at amidships. Passenger access around the vessel is very good with wide access doors to both the foredeck and aft deck. A sheltered stair case leads to the upper observation deck where passengers can gain all round visibility for photo opportunities.
