Mermaid Marine Fleet Adds Two Newbuilds

Mermaid Marine Australia Limited announced that the company has this week delivered two newbuild vessels into its international fleet; Jaya Majestic, an Anchor Handing Tug Supply vessel (AHTS) and Jaya Victory, a Platform Supply Vessel (PSV). Jaya Majestic, a high specification 78m DP-2 AHTS, was built at one of MMA’s Jaya shipyards in South East Asia. The vessel is the first new build to be delivered following MMA’s acquisition of 100% of Jaya Holdings’ subsidiaries earlier this year. The Singapore flagged Jaya Majestic is ideally suited to supporting jack-up rigs, semi-submersible rigs, Floating Production Storage Offloading facilities (FPSOs) and offshore construction spreads.

Jaya Delivers AHTS Vessel for Mermaid Marine

Offshore marine services provider Jaya, now part of Mermaid Marine Australia Ltd. (MMA), today delivered Jaya Majestic, a new state-of-the-art anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel into MMA’s international fleet. Jaya Majestic was built at the company’s Singapore shipyard and is the first vessel to be delivered following the acquisition of 100% of Jaya Holdings’ subsidiaries by MMA earlier this year. OSRL Introduces Well Capping Equipment

Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL), the global oil spill response co-operative funded by more than 160 oil and energy companies, has announced the opening of a new Base in Saldanha Bay, South Africa, to support regional and global response operations. Alnmaritec Sends Twin Vessels to Iraq

One of the Arttawi sisters on trials. Late last year two unusual vessels from Alnmaritec arrived in Iraq on their way to serve in Basrah. The two sisters, Arttawi I & II are modified Wave Worker class boats designed for oil spill protection duties at a busy oil terminal. The boats are 12m long with a catamaran hull form and carry a hydraulic oil boom deployment reel as well as a range of oil recovery and dispersant equipment and recovered oil storage. The spacious aft deck has a hydraulic knuckle boom crane and the boats are fitted with twin 25KVA generator sets providing a significant on-board power capability. The air conditioned accommodation provides sleeping accommodation for four crew together with toilet, shower and galley facilities.
