Thrustmaster Announces Management Promotions

Thrustmaster of Texas, Inc., a company in the design and manufacture of marine thruster systems, announced several promotions in its top level operations management. Jason Small, B.Sc.Mar.E., has been promoted to General Manager. Mr. Small, a graduate of Texas A&M with a B.Sc. in Marine Engineering, served as Engineering Manager at Thrustmaster for the past six years. Venkat Mudupu, PhD has been promoted to Engineering Manager. Dr. Mudupu has been with Thrustmaster for over five years and is a specialist in design of control systems for propulsion and dynamic positioning applications for marine and aerospace applications. Wesmar Wins ABS DP1 Approval

Wesmar announced that their Model V2-20NS Vortex dual prop all stainless steel bow thruster has been given ABS approval for dynamic positioning applications (DP1). The horsepower rating for the V2-20NS is 75 to 150, and the company anticipates similar approval soon for their V2-26 and V2-36 systems, which operate on vessels up to 350 HP. Wesmar’s polished stainless steel props are standard, and stainless steel seal with bearing carriers sync with the stainless steel casting.
