The Coast Guard Foundation extended congratulations to Traverse City, Michigan and the members of Air Station Traverse City on their recent designation as a “Coast Guard City.” Awarded by the Commandant of the United States Coast Guard and approved by Congress, the honor is given to select communities that have made special efforts to acknowledge the professional work of the Coast Guard men and women assigned to their area.
