METS Invites Charities to Apply for DAME Fundraising

METS organizer Amsterdam RAI invites government-approved, marine-related public charities to apply for the registration proceeds from the Design Award METS (DAME) competition. “We are hoping many charities will apply for this year’s fund,” said Irene Dros, METS Domain Manager. To date, the DAME Award – which is a respected annual industry reward for innovative leisure marine product design – has raised approximately €18,000 for worthy causes each year. The annual donation varies according to the number of entries registered. Last year, AMREF, Flying doctors received the donation. AMREF is the designated charity of Amsterdam RAI and therefore receives the DAME donation in even years.
