Global surveillance business Synectics has been awarded contracts for ten marine and offshore vessels including LNG Carriers, LPG Carriers and Floating Storage Regasification Units (FSRUs). Scheduled for construction in South Korea and China, the international vessels will all be equipped with end-to-end surveillance solutions comprising Synectics’ COEX camera stations, Synergy command and control functionality, and tailored integrations. ULSTEIN has announced management changes within its design and innovation areas, naming Frode Sollid as development manager at Ulstein Design & Solutions AS and Bernt-Aage Ulstein is as its new design manager. Sollid brings 30 years of experience developing solutions and designs for offshore vessels to the newly-established position as innovation and development manager at Ulstein Design & Solutions AS, and he will also be the manager for Ulstein Strategic Innovation Centre (USIC).
