Equatorial, TFG and Sinopec are Singapore's Top Three Marine Bunker Suppliers in 2023

Equatorial Marine Fuel Management Services, TFG Marine and Sinopec Fuel Oil Singapore were the top three marine bunker suppliers in Singapore, the world's largest bunker hub, in 2023, latest data from the port authority showed.Equatorial maintained its top position for a second consecutive year, while Trafigura's TFG Marine rose one spot to become the second largest supplier, data from Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority showed.Sinopec Fuel Oil Singapore jumped 16 spots to become the third largest supplier, the data showed.

Ship Arrested, More Claims Emerge Against OW Bunker

Fuel barge Laguna, carrying oil sold by Hin Leong to OW Bunker, arrested. Total claims against OW Bunker Far East and Dynamic Oil now over S$5 mln. Oil firms stepped up legal action against the Singapore units of bankrupt ship fuel trader OW Bunker with the arrest of a ship fuel delivery barge Laguna on Wednesday and claims totalling more than S$5 million. Court documents seen by Reuters showed that the overall amount of claims made against OW Bunker Far East (Singapore) and Dynamic Oil Trading, both Singapore-based subsidiaries of the Danish firm, over unpaid supplies now total around S$5.3 million ($4.11 million) made by nearly half a dozen companies. Funds managed by IK Investment Partners (IK) have entered into an agreement with the Norwegian foundation Det Norske Veritas (DNV), to acquire its subsidiary DNV Petroleum Services (DNVPS), a global company in fuel management services. Financial details for the transaction were not disclosed. Founded by the Norwegian foundation DNV in 1981, DNVPS is a leading global provider of fuel management services for the maritime and power sectors with customers including ship owners, managers and charterers as well as power plant operators.
