Broström’s third 14,500 dwt D-class vessel Bro Distributor, was delivered and has begun its maiden voyage to Europe. The vessels will be employed in the distribution of refined oil products in European trade. The fourth and last D-class vessel is expected to be delivered in December this year. In connection with last year’s acquisition of the Danish company Nordtank Shipping, Broström also acquired 9 percent in three of the Swedish shipowner Furetank’s vessels. Broström has now acquired another 21% of the vessel Fure Nord, 16,000 dwt, built 2004. After this acquisition Broström thus owns 30% of the vessel. All of Furetank’s product tanker vessels are commercially operated by Broström. Another business partner of Broström is the Turkish company Dünya Shipping.
