Equinor Hires Havila Shipping’s PSV
Norwegian offshore support vessel owner Havila Shipping has secured contract with Equinor for its platform supply vessels (PSVs).The contract has been signed for Havila Herøy PSV, for an operation planned to be 136 days.The start is expected to be in first half of March, the company said.Built in Havyard Leirvik in 2009, Havila Herøy PSV is 80.4 meters long and has a deck space of 805 m2.
DOF Expands Backlog with Atlantic Awards, Shell IMR Deal
Norwegian offshore vessel owner and subsea services provider DOF Group has secured several new project awards in the Atlantic region and a separate contract in North America with Shell.The Atlantic region awards, amounting to over $60 million, will be executed primarily using DOF’s regional fleet during the fourth quarter of 2025 and the first quarter of 2026. The contracts represent more than 250 firm vessel days, excluding optional work.In West Africa, DOF will deploy Skandi Hera and Skandi Master under direct contracts with an operator.
Havila to Appeal Oslo Court Decision
Havila Shipping has not had its case upheld in Oslo District Court and will appeal the judgment.In January and March, the company filed a lawsuit against DnB Bank ASA, Danske Bank AS NUF, and Swedbank AB (publ).The banks have maintained that Havila Shipping breached refinancing terms by converting of debt to equity and conducting a bond issue.In a statement, Havila said: “Havila Shipping does not agree with the judgment, and the district court's ruling is not a final decision in the matter.
Equinor to Keep Havila Shipping’s PSV Busy for One More Year
Equinor has extended the contract for Havila Shipping’s platform supply vessel (PSV) Havila Charisma.Equinor has exercised one year option for Havila Charisma until December 2026.According to Havila Shipping, Equinor has an option for one year thereafter, until December 2027.Havila Charisma is 2012-built PSV of Havyard 833L design. The PSV is 92.8 meters long, with a breadth of 19.6 meters.
Havila Shipping Banks Q3 Profit as Fleet Use Climbs
Havila Shipping delivered a stronger third quarter in 2025, reporting improved profit before tax and maintaining high fleet utilization despite softer day rates and several vessels undergoing planned maintenance.According to the company’s quarterly report, freight revenues reached NOK 149.3 million in Q3 2025, up NOK 8.5 million from the same period last year but down sequentially from Q2. Utilization remained robust at 95.3%, although two vessels were temporarily out of service for scheduled yard work.

Norwegian offshore support vessel owner Havila Shipping has signed a contract with Peterson Den Helder for its platform supply vessel (PSV) Havila Borg.The contract, signed on market terms, is planned to be in direct continuation of existing contract for a firm period until late fourth quarter 2026, with further options for extension up to two years.To remind, Havila Shipping and Peterson Den Helder signed a contract for the PSV back in March 2025.Built in 2009, Havila Borg features Havyard 832 design. The PSV is 78.6 meters long, with the breadth of 17.6 meters and deck of 800 m2.
Havila Shipping Reports Solid Q2 on Strong Fleet Utilization
Offshore supply vessel operator Havila Shipping ASA delivered stronger results in the second quarter of 2025, supported by high fleet utilization and stable freight revenues.Freight revenues reached NOK 165.5 million in Q2, up NOK 19.5 million from the same period in 2024 and broadly in line with the previous quarter. Total operating income rose to NOK 175 million compared to NOK 152.9 million last year.Operating profit before depreciation increased to NOK 91.3 million (Q2 2024: NOK 78.4 million).
Havila Acquires Polarsyssel Offshore Supply Ship
Havila Holding, through its subsidiary Havila Skipsinvest, has acquired the Polarsyssel offshore supply ship from Fafnir Norway.Polarsyssel serves as the Governor of Svalbard’s service vessel and plays a key role in safety and emergency preparedness in the region.The ship patrols the waters around Svalbard and carries out inspection and enforcement tasks, search and rescue missions, environmental monitoring, and oil spill response.Fafnir has owned the vessel since it was delivered in 2014, while Havila has been responsible for the daily operations since 2015.

Equinor Extends Charter for Island Offshore's Supply Vessel
The Norwegian oil and gas company Equinor has given a longer-term charter to the Island Commander offshore supply vessel.The vessel, which is owned by Island Offshore, is currently on spot assignment for the same company.The 2009-built offshore vessel will now stay on a charter with Equinor for another seven months.
