Hypertherm is Now Fully Employee-owned

Hypertherm, a U.S. based manufacturer of plasma, laser and waterjet cutting systems, has announced the transfer of all its common stock into an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), making the company 100 percent employee owned under an S-Corporation structure. Previously, Hypertherm’s ESOP, known internally as the Hypertherm Stock Ownership Plan or HSOP, held approximately one-third of the company’s stock. Controlling shareholders Dick and Barbara Couch created the plan in 2001, followed by a Global Stock Value Program (GSVP) for international associates in 2004.

Hypertherm Unveils Powermax45

Hypertherm, provider of plasma metal cutting technology, is unveiling the Powermax45®, a portable ½” plasma cutting and gouging system. The Powermax45 is a single-gas system (air and nitrogen) designed for both hand-held and mechanized applications. With a recommended ½” cut capacity, and one inch severance, the 37-pound system is ideal for cutting and gouging applications in many industries including HVAC duct cutting, truck and trailer fabrication, as well as facility and equipment maintenance of all types, including manufacturing and agricultural.
