Battle of the Atlantic Memorial Planned in Liverpool

A fundraising campaign to build a international memorial dedicated to the estimated 100,000 people who lost their lives during the Battle of the Atlantic in World War II, as well as those who served and survived, is being launched in Liverpool. The Battle of the Atlantic Memorial (BOAM), the charity leading the campaign, will stage a press call with war veterans on the Liverpool’s iconic waterfront to launch the fundraising effort to build the 28 meter monument in the shape of a merchant ship split in two.

Canaveral Shipwreck Search Permit Granted to Seafarer's Quest

Research and recovery of historic shipwrecks experts Seafarer Exploration Corporation says that Seafarer's Quest, LLC has successfully been granted a three year research permit for the shipwreck site south of Cape Canaveral from the Florida Bureau of Archaeology Research. "We are so excited about this site!" exclaimed Kyle Kennedy, CEO of Seafarer. "The complexities of this particular permit dictated a much longer time horizon, but hopefully good things come to those who wait. The long awaited issuance of this permit allows Seafarer to begin the investigation, research and archaeological excavation of this very exciting historical site. There have already been several artifacts discovered, some solid silver and a pistol with a visible date of 1709 and the name of the maker," he added.

Treasure Hunters, Seafarer, Gets Florida Operations Extensions

Seafarer Exploration Corp. has been granted a two-year extension to the environmental permit for the Juno Beach site to December 9, 2015. Kyle Kennedy (Seafarer CEO) said: " We continue to see progress on the Juno Beach project. We have located some interesting artifacts which may further help to determine the time frame of this potentially sizable colonial era shipwreck. Mr. Kennedy continued, "We are also in the process of completing an archaeological Research Design to be submitted to the Florida Bureau of Archaeological Research in order to eventually receive our third permit.

Academic Treasure Hunters Gain Third Site

Seafarer Exploration Corp has finalized an agreement with Heartland Treasure Quest LLC (HTQ) for a third treasure site. The company is focused on the archaeologically-sensitive exploration, documentation and recovery of historic shipwrecks with an emphasis on recovering treasure and understanding and documenting historical events surrounding shipwrecks. HTQ has surveyed, explored, and researched the site and historical archives for over a decade. Seafarer will now start the application process for another salvage permit. Kyle Kennedy , CEO of Seafarer, stated, "We are continuing our plans of expansion to build shareholder value and increase our probabilities of success.
