Cargotec has expanded its portfolio with an automated lashing platform for fully automated quayside twistlock handling. Under the terms of an exclusive global licensing agreement, Cargotec has assumed full responsibility for KALP GmbH's automated lashing platform products and services. The platforms will be rebranded under Cargotec's daughter brand Kalmar. Today, stevedores manually remove twistlocks during the discharge process and fix them during the load process. Cargotec can now bridge the automation gap between ship to shore cranes and horizontal transportation.
