Due to significant increase in trade with primary fruit receivers in the UK, LCL has formed a joint venture company with George Hammond PLC, LCL UK & Eire Ltd. LCL supplies logistics services to exporters and producers of fresh fruit. Dover-based Hammond have a long association with the liner services operated by LauritzenCool out of South America, both as stevedore and agent, with offices established at Sheerness and Dover.
