Launch of the SV Noordhoek Pathfinder

On Saturday 7 November 2009, the launch of the Noordhoek Pathfinder took place at the De Hoop Shipyard in Foxhol – The Netherlands. She is a 203.4-ft DPII ROV and Survey Support Vessel. The launching ceremony was officiated by Julia Anna Noordhoek, granddaughter of Leen Noordhoek and daughter of Cees Noordhoek, Directors of Noordhoek. The Noordhoek Pathfinder is currently undergoing the final stages of installation and commissioning of the crane and survey spread prior to commencing sea trials. The Noordhoek Pathfinder will be fully commissioned and ready for deployment in Q1 2010.

Noordhoek Orders Vessel

Noordhoek Offshore B.V., based in Zierikzee - The Netherlands, ordered a newbuild diving offshore construction support (DOCS) vessel for itsNorth Western European operations. The delivery of this new vessel is scheduled for the second half of 2009, following its delivery it will join the Noordhoek fleet. This new, state-of-the-art vessel is, specifically designed for efficient diving operations in the harsh North Sea environment. The new vessel will have an 76 metres overall length, 18 metre beam, 100 tonne main crane and accommodation for 70 people.
