Noreq to deliver Wind Turbine Platform Cranes (WTPC) for use on the Borkum Riffgrund 1 offshore wind farm. The contract is with DONG Energy, a company Noreq has worked with before on other offshore wind farm installations. Two private investors, KIRKBI – the parent company of the LEGO Group – and William Demant Invest, are also involved as owners. DONG Energy will build the Borkum Riffgrund 1 wind farm, (located approx. 55 km off the north-west coast of Germany) in the German sector of the North Sea.
