A new generation fishing vessel was built by OAO Leningrad Shipyard Pella, Otradnoye, Russia, under the survey of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS). The vessel launching ceremony was held on May 28, 2014, and construction is expected to wrap up by late July 2014. The RS class notation is КМ Ice2 AUT1 Fishing Vessel. According to RS, the highly automated vessel of project PL475 was designed for longline fishing using resource-saving methods and modern technologies of fish processing as well as product storage and transportation. The vessel capacity will be up to 500 t per day. The fishing target species are cod, haddock, halibut, wolffish, perch and other ground species.

It is a violation of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act for a foreign fishing vessel to fail to stow its fishing gear below deck when it is transiting U.S. waters.
