September 2013 sees the launch of another important safety awareness and training poster from Maritime Progress Ltd. IMO Resolution A.1050 invites Governments to bring revised recommendations for entering enclosed spaces aboard ships to the attention of ship owners, ship operators and seafarers. Maritime Progress poster 1007 “Enclosed Space Entry Safety Signs” has now been totally revised. Whilst the content of the poster is not wrong it needed revising so as to emphasize the hazards involved in enclosed space entry. The revised poster takes its lead from the above resolution and is designed to raise the awareness of the hazards associated with enclosed spaces.
