Holland's Feadship say they have launched the 46.22-metre semi-displacement motoryacht 'Como', created for the highly experienced New Zealand yachtsman Neville Crichton. Having previously built a large number of competitive sailing yachts in his native New Zealand and more recently owned a motoryacht from a leading New Zealand yard, Mr Crichton decided the time had come to commission an entirely custom superyacht of the highest possible quality. Hugely influenced by his ideas regarding design aesthetics and the lavish use of glass, Como is felt to be a triumph in every respect.

Superyacht industry people gathered at the Çırağan Palace Kempinski, Istanbul, Turkey recently for the seventh annual World Superyacht Awards, which honour the finest new superyacht builds delivered to their owners in the past 12 months. Tango: Motor Yacht of the Year, sponsored by Camper & Nicholsons International. The 77.7m yacht was built by Feadship and styled by Eidsgaard Design. Vertigo: Sailing Yacht of the Year, sponsored by Proteksan Turquoise. The 67.2m yacht was built by Alloy Yachts and styled by Philippe Briand, with an interior by Christian Liaigre Yacht Design.
