Lawsuit Brought Over Cutter Contract

Lockport, La.-based Bollinger had a joint venture with Northrop Grumman Ship Systems Inc. to extend the length of 49 Coast Guard cutters from 110 feet to 123 feet. Northrop Grumman Ship Systems Awarded Contract Modification

Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, Inc., Pascagoula, Miss., is being awarded a $64,618,538 cost-plus-award-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-00-C-2300) to exercise an option for Planning Yard Services for DD 963 and CG 47 Class ships. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Miss., and is expected to be completed by September 2004. Contract funds in the amount of $4,625, will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
