KMSS has won the contract to supply eight workstation based cargo handling simulators to Maine Maritime Academy. The system will be delivered in spring 2002 and will consist of both the VLCC and Product Carrier CargoHandling Models. The instructor station, as well as the eight student workstations will have dual, flat screen monitors installed. This dual monitor arrangement allows for the instructor or student to see more than one process diagram at a time. The workstation based system uses the same instructor station and processes the same model library as the fully operational system. Each model is based on data from real ships creating the most realistic scenarios available.
