Hensoldt UK announcde the supply of Kelvin Hughes Mk11 X Band SharpEye navigation radars to two Polish Navy Kormoran II-class minehunters. ORP Albatros and ORP Mewa were built by Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A. shipyard in Gdańsk, Poland.Installed in conjunction with an OSI Maritime Systems integrated navigation bridge system, the radar will be tasked with navigation and surface surveillance functionality, providing the Polish Navy with solid state radar sensors to ensure safety of navigation whilst providing advanced small target search capability.

The Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) has initiated a plan to upgrade navigation system hardware on a range of surface vessels and submarines.The supplier OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) said it has signed a deal with RCN to design, build, test, certify and deliver MIL-SPEC navigation system hardware upgrades to replace legacy systems that were originally provided by the company, some dating back to 2001. OSI will also provide spares and training support.The fleetwide upgrade includes 44 surface ship and five submarine systems.

OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) announced it has signed a contract with Lockheed Martin to provide its Integrated Bridge and Navigation System (IBNS) for the first four ships of the Royal Saudi Navy’s (RSN) Multi-Mission Surface Combatant (MMSC) program.  OSI will build and deliver a military grade system for the MMSC program based on the system designed for the U.S. Navy Freedom-variant Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) program.The company was awarded the LCS-27 contract by Lockheed Martin in November 2017.As a company that is exclusively focused on the naval market, OSI’s IBNS is designed and built specifically for warships and meets stringent military specification demanded by both the USN and RSN.

OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) announced the signing of a contract to integrate its flagship software, ECPINS-W Sub, into the U.K. Royal Navy’s T45 Destroyer Integrated Bridge System (IBS). Under the terms of this contract, OSI will provide software engineering activity to fully integrate ECPINS into the existing IBS system architecture. OSI supplies the Royal Navy with its advanced NATO WECDIS STANAG 4564 certified ECPINS-W Sub software across all operational ships, submarines, shore headquarters, and training establishments.

OSI Maritime Systems announced that it has signed a contract to provide in-service-support for its ECPINS-W Sub software - ECPINS is the only ECDIS independently certified against NATO WECDIS STANAG 4564. The software is in service across the Royal Canadian Navy surface and subsurface fleet. Under the terms of this contract, OSI will provide an upgrade to its most advanced ECPINS-W Sub software and provide in-service support for this software for six years, with options to extend for up to 20 years.
