USCG Rescue Boaters In 2 Vessels Near Oswego, N.Y.

The Coast Guard assisted six recreational boaters in Oswego, NY, in two separate cases this morning after each of the vessels began taking on water. The names of the people assisted are not being released and there is no Coast Guard imagery. At 7:30 a.m., the watchstander at Coast Guard Station Oswego, NY, received a radio call from a person aboard a 23-foot pleasure craft with two other people aboard stating they were taking on water in Oswego Harbor. A boatcrew aboard  a 25-foot response boat from Station Oswego was diverted from a patrol and arrived on scene within minutes, took the vessel in tow and safely moored it at Wrights Landing Marina in Oswego.
