The Map Ta Phut Tank Terminal Company (MTT) has signed an official preparedness framework agreement with Ardent. The deal is the first of its kind in Thailand and is specifically structured to mitigate risk by pre-staging response elements and training Thai-based terminal operators to work with emergency management elements. MTT is a commercial port and storage terminal dedicated for liquid and gaseous petrochemical products. MTT terminal, comprising of four marine jetties and 33 storage tanks, is able to support more than 20 varieties of petrochemical products.

Providing critical support to ensure the safety of this historic journey is Ardent’s Global Preparedness Cover (GPC), whose staff are on 24-hour response throughout the cruise ship’s transit through the Northwest Passage. “Ardent has been on the forefront of provide emergency preparedness services to its marine industry for many years, and this goes hand in hand in being prepared to respond in all regions in the world including the Arctic,” said Oliver Timofei, Ardent’s Director Emergency Management.

Global maritime services firm, Ardent, and Ardentia Marine Group, a Spanish salvage, engineering and commercial diving company, have formally partnered for future operations following the signing of a cooperation agreement in June 2016. Ardentia has been the emergency response and underwater services provider for the Spanish Coast Guard since 2009, and has intervened in nearly 100 operations with marine casualty control, fuel and bunker removal, refloating and wreck removal. The company maintains a strong presence in Spain and Portugal.

Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) and Clean Caribbean & Americas (CCA) join up to meet the needs for global oil spill response. Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) is an industry-owned cooperative which exists to respond effectively to oil spills anywhere, anytime. OSRL provides preparedness, response and subsea well intervention services and works closely with other industry organisations e.g. IMO and IPIECA to share expertise and develop knowledge. OSRL will acquire CCA’s assets and personnel, with CCA’s Fort Lauderdale base in Florida becoming a regional response base supporting OSRL’s global response capability. Members of CCA will become Members of OSRL and thus receive membership services from OSRL going forward.
