WNY Shooting Tragedy: SECNAV Orders Security Review

Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus has directed a rapid review of Navy and Marine Corps' security procedures at military bases in the United States. "Our Sailors, Marines, and civilians are familiar with the dangers of service, but our security is something we can never take for granted," said Mabus. Adm. William E. Gortney, commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, will lead the review for the Navy. Lt. Gen. Rick Tryon, commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Command, will lead the review for the Marine Corps. The review is to be submitted to Mabus by Oct.
