Pearlson Shiplift Confirms $200 Million Backlog

Miami-based shiplift supplier Pearlson Shiplift Corporation reports it has secured four contracts within the past nine months, boosting its order backlog to more than $200 million.A privately held company with a global presence, Pearlson Shiplift Corporation engineers and delivers complex shiplift and transfer systems for both military and commercial shipyards.Recent orders include shiplift systems for BAE Systems – Jacksonville Ship Repair, the Korean Coast Guard and Horizon Yacht Company, as well as one undisclosed project to be announced in the coming months.

Rolls-Royce Wins $32M Indian Naval Contract

Rolls-Royce business Syncrolift Inc., has won a $32 million order to provide a ship lifting system at a new Indian naval base. The shiplift, the first of its kind in India, is scheduled to go into service at the Karwar base, south of Goa, in the state of Karnataka, in late 2004. all Indian Navy vessels up to and including the Delhi destroyer class. 224 installations in 67 countries. Geoff Stokoe, Syncrolift, Inc. President, said: "This is an important contract from the Indian Navy. The majority of our manufacture will take place in India and we are committed to further developing our relationships with Indian industry. The naval base at Karwar, a major construction project on India's west coast, is designed to meet India's naval needs for the next century.
