Hamburg Sud to Change Port Rotations

In response to unfavorable trading conditions, Hamburg Süd will rationalize its services between North Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean. From the first week of August onwards, the existing two-sling concept is to be reconfigured with the aim of ensuring the same comprehensive port coverage while achieving the desired rationalization effects. While the Northern Route Service (NEMN) to Turkey is to be withdrawn, the Southern Route Levante Service (NESM) will be adjusted to include ports from the Northern Route Service. Felixstowe – Antwerp – Hamburg – Tangiers – Alexandria – Limassol – Beirut –Latakia – Mersin – Izmir – Alexandria – Salerno – Felixstowe. The service will also feature connections to Tunisia, Algeria and Western Med ports from Tangiers.
